Notre Savoir-faire & innovation textile
Every creation by Micaelle Colas, a Parisian couture house, emerges from a dialogue between time-honoured haute couture craftsmanship and emerging technologies. From the first sketch to the final finishing touches, artisanal precision and innovation shape each singular piece.
At the intersection of art, fashion and technology, the House explores new forms of expression through clothing. Sculptural volumes, materials and embellishments become elements of an artistic language in which the human body and silhouette take centre stage.
3D printing on textiles is part of this exploration, introducing a new approach to ornamentation in dialogue with embroidery and traditional craftsmanship. It expands the creative possibilities of couture, giving rise to new reliefs, textures and interactions between material and the human body.
One vision guides this creative practice: architectural and avant-garde couture that sculpts presence and embodies power.
3D Printing on Textiles: A New Expression of Haute Couture
Within the signature collection Les Conquérantes, 3D printing on textiles becomes an artistic language and a new form of couture embellishment. Inspired by nature and pointillism, sculptural reliefs reinterpret symbols of feminine power, giving rise to distinctive volumes integrated directly into the fabric.
Each element is individually modelled in three dimensions before being printed directly onto the textile, through a process combining artistic research, material experimentation and technical expertise. Developed through a year of research and development in textile innovation, this technique requires both the sensitivity of a couturier and the precision of an engineer.
At the intersection of textile art and haute couture, Zénobie brings together French craftsmanship and technological innovation. Entirely created in Paris, this piece reinterprets the symbols of feminine power to envision the power dressing of tomorrow.
A flowing silk organza blouse meets an architectural wool flannel corolla skirt. Inspired by Pointillism, yellow 3D-printed reliefs form a tiger motif, enhanced by delicate green-toned glass embroidery.
Each relief is individually modelled and printed directly onto the fabric using corn-derived bio-based PLA. Nearly 2,160 hours of 3D printing give rise to sculptural, Pointillism-inspired embellishments, where technology extends the art of embroidery.
02 - L'architecture invisible
Beneath the corolla skirt, horsehair canvas and tailoring interfacing create an invisible architectural structure. To preserve the 3D-printed embellishments, the skirt is entirely assembled by hand, adapting traditional couture craftsmanship to innovative textile techniques.
Ten hours of glass embroidery, crafted in Paris, combine bugle beads and smaller beads, creating reflections reminiscent of individual brushstrokes. A dialogue between technological precision and the sensitivity of artisanal craftsmanship.
